Chemicals in skincare

It was mentioned that certain chemicals like petroleum are used in skin care products causing dry and tight skin once it was washed off as it replaced the skin’s natural functions.

That was my “aha” moment.

It explained the (horrible) feeling of too-tight-for-the-face dry skin despite using all the lotions and creams and many other skin care products promising to aid my skin issues (ironically I had clogged pores and inflammation too). Today I know that all these products actually worsened my skin but more on that in the summit.

So I started to make my own products and turned any and every package of skincare or food item reading its ingredients before I bought it. I wanted to know what and why I was using something on and in my body.
